    I'm perplexed?

What is a hidden from view code? In my holiday disputing process I called EX. I asked about 4 paid collection accounts on the report I received two weeks ago. She told me not to worry about them because they had a code on them that makes them hidden from both my view and a potential creditor that pulls my report. She told me on my next report they should be removed. What does this mean? What's this code crap? Anyone have any experience with this. Am I just being given a load of crap?

    thanks,
    Ed

Relax. it makes sense. In Equifax speak it's called a "P code".

Here's what happens. A creditor sends info into the CRA on you. It is generated with your report. You dispute it and it's removed but the creditor still reports it.

what can the CRA do? CODE it so that, even though the creditor reports it, it doesn't get seen by anyone including your creditors.
