Can someone tell me whether or not a high FICO, let's say 680-720, with 2 negs. still reporting mean a denial for credit? I'm wondering if the score has any real value if you still have negs. reporting.

My TU has my BK (1992) and and an IRS tax lien (1997). I have not been turned down for the items that I applied for last year. Nextel (wireless service), Spiegal (waste of time) and BMW Card (Platinum card). My TU in 2002 was 690. I have not idea what my score was in 2001.

My hubby was turned down for Discover with a 700+ score and 2 negative accounts.

It all depends on the creditor and what their lending requirements are.

Some might say, for example, >= 670, regardless of what's on there, while another might say ANY derog is cause for denial, no matter what your score it. Every one is different.
