Thanks for the reply re: First USA.

Do you know if they have a list of the schools that have the alumni affiliation?

I know that there are tons of "affiliation" cards. One
of my friends has a San Diego Padre card through FUSA and I got a solicitation yesterday from either FUSA or MBNA for a "I *heart* NY" card.

I do. But I wonder how I got on that list?? Hotels selling guest lists? Ticketmaster selling lists of people who see Broadway shows?

    What's next? A CreditNet card?

    Riiiiiiiiigggggghht.......... <g>

    Hey--

thanks for the link on affiliation cards. Thassa lotta
cards. I usually shred the weird-invites I get because
    they generally seem random.

At this rate, there will be a card for everything.

What do YOU have in YOUR wallet?

    But Kiyi,

I've been there. $200 Cap One and $500 Providian (after a deposit) in 1999. Things get better; just keep plugging along.

    Best wishes,

    Sassy,

Thank you? What did I do? Make you laugh?:)

    Marci,

I am satisfied with it. Wouldn't mind a real credit card or dell credit line for a handy dandy 8200 laptop witha juicy Radeon Mobility chip but alas I have a crap Experian report.

yes Kiyi, I was laughing, but only because I was happy to learn there was someone else with about as much current credit as I have, LOL.

We've been strict cash kinda folks since 1998 when we did the C13. It never occurred to me to attempt to rebuild credit, rebuild WHAT, I just didn't want to go down that same road again.

Rebuild is a misnomer, it reads like there's something to rebuild from -- piling more manure on the pile that gets you what? more manure, LOL. Ohhhhhhh, I just thought of something, eventually it will be compost ;-)

I have since working on my CR's been working on rebuilding, the only 2 that will touch me are household and first premier.

    Sassy

I don't like First Premier, they are expensive to start up. Capital One looks ok, Household? never looked into it, is there a noob card?
