I requested this CA to validate a tradeline. It's been about 45 days or so, I finally got a response. Since it's HIPPA related, what should I do? Can they still require my signature and crap? Here's the letter they sent.

    Dear sir,
Your letter disputing this account was received and your complaint has been investigated. However, you have failed to sign your letter or provide any identifying information about yourself.

At this time I have received a copy of the original financial agreement and emergency room documents signed by a Donald W. Jones.(last name changed to protect me, but thats not my first name either) I also have the date of birth, SSN address phone and place of employment for Donald W. Jones along with an itemized statement. The credit reporting was done under the SSN provided to the hospital at the time of service.

Due to federal regulations that CA must abide by, including the FDCPA, the Privacy Act and HIPPA, I am not able to reveal someoneâ??s personal information until I have identified with whom I am dealing. You will need to provide your signature and proof this is on your credit report in order for me to proceed. Your other option is to file a dispute with your credit bureau who in turn will contact us with the appropriate documentation to resolve this issue.

I already have disputed through the CRA after I got the green card back. Should I wait for the results of this CRA investigation to see if the CRA actually contacted them? Should be this week. If they have, I can show the CA that the CRA did in fact notify them like the CA's letter says.

Anybody? I haven't dealt with HIPPA yet,
