I am not interested in companies like Lexington but am wondering if anyone has had success with using a local company (or long distance) to do a consultation on your CR?
I understand these boards are a free service and so what you get is what you put into it.
But I think I am at a point where I am frustrated and want results with things I know are wrong on my credit report, but I am not getting the results.
I think I want someone who can specifically take each item by item on mine and my DHs 3 CRs and work with me on what needs to be fixed, and help me write the correct legal sounding letters to the appropriate CA, OC or CRA to get the problem fixed.
There are still inaccuracies on our reports, that I need fixed and I just feel as if I am not getting anywhere even with the hours of work I have put in.
I have done the validation process and what I have left is in many cases not being reported correctly and I am just not getting results.
A mortgage lender we know recommended CCCS but they want to push us into a repayment program we don't need for the debt we still have. Our local office knows about as much on reporting as the night security guard at a construction site. They just want to sell their program, no matter your situation. And of course, I don't want to spend big $$$. If I had big $$$ I would have never been in this situation.
Has anyone found a third party that could help?

We have been using Bradley Ross Law for one year this month. www.bradleyrosslaw.com. We filed bk7 jointly. We have had one case analyst working on our files. We can email her and have an answer back in less than 24 hours, ususally the same day, in about an hour, yeterday I emailed her 3 times, she was back in a shot each time! I don't have my file in front of me, but do have DH's. There have been 28 deletions, 3 in progress and 11 left indispute, out of all 3 credit bureaus. His myfico has gone Equifax: 573 to 677, Experian 579 to 725. Also www.afterbankruptcy.org, is Stephen Snyder's site. He has written a book, andis in the progress of getting another on out after the first of the year. He has gone thru it. Full on amazing info, phone numbers, addresses, etc...... I just can't say enough good things. We are extremely happy with our results. I find it very overwhelming to try to do all of it and will gladly pay for the work. I am doing my own research as far as loans etc. to stay on top of things. This board has been a wealth of information and I can't thank everyone enough for what I have been able to get from them.

Thanks vghost. I know you and jam have answered my questions in the past but I just felt I wasn't getting someones full attention. Which I totally understand because this is a public forum.
I just feel as if there are some people whose answers I can't trust, because of screen names and such that they hide behind.
I have had things not answered here in entirety because of the volume and the nature of this board. It's not meant to be criticism. I understand it's just the way it is if you get something for free.
I guess I want to sit down and in one full shot get my answers to these pressing issues.
Between PG which I pull daily and EQ, EX, and TU every report looks different and confusing and I want to tackle what isn't reporting correctly because it is hurting me every day it stays incorrect.

    itsmymoney,
I was looking up the infor on that "afterbankruptcy" seminar. I haven't declared bankruptcy, does the book or seminar offer any advice that may be helpful on rebuilding credit and fixing errors?
    TIA

Yes, even if you haven't filed, there is some info for low credit scores, however, Stephens new book out after the first of the year is about repairing/rebuilding credit, etc. so I am anxious to read all of it. Also has a magazine starting called "bankruptcy" that will be delivered in a brown wrapper, LOL..........

The book addresses those issues, but he has a new book coming out after the first of the year specifically for credit repair. You may want to save your money and check his book out at the library and wait for the new one.

I guess what I really want is someones attention devoted to me, their undivided attention to my matters.

I am going to look for that book at the library. I don't buy books anymore, if the library doesn't have it, then I utilize the big comfy chairs at Barnes&Noble to browse their selection *grin*

My library system has that book, it's available at another branch, so I should have it in a couple days. I am eager to read it and thanks for the recommendations.
