My apple.com loan (which i haven't used) is reporting already! Incredible, we're talking less than week since opening.. MBNA doesn't slack on the reporting eh!
How long after you were approved did it take for you to recieve the account number and information in the mail?
I appplied yesterday and got an instant denial. Later in the day when I checked credit expert I noticed that MBNA hit my credit twice. Each inquiry said MBNA but each had a different division of MBNA. I think after the instant denial they do a manual consideration? I'll wait and see what comes in the mail. If I am denied I will dispute both inquiries.
Yeah i think the people that qualify for higher tier go to the first inquiry, and folks with derogs' get shoved to their second tier banking
Thanks sam. I got some web page errors on the page that was supposed to show the account number. I'm waiting for the info in the mail so I can call up and combine it with my quantum.
They pulled credit report two times on my Experian even I was approved. They did it to everyone whetherthey approved it or not. The first one is called MBNA Financial services and the second one is MBNA AMERICA SF. My brother tried to dispute one of them and Experian came back vertified and stayed. I am still confused about this. I was bored the other night and knew I needed at least 1-2 denials per report for other reasons, so I applied for this. I was approved for $3500..the amount I asked for. I didn't get an account number because I kept getting a web page error message. Is this only to purchase an apple computer or does this money have other uses? Like will I get convenience checks or something? I have no use for an apple computer as I have a 2 month old Dell and a year old Gateway. I really did NOT think I would be approved

just get your account # and register at www.mbnanetaccess.com you can draft money directly to the checking account you register for bill pay (if you are satisfied with their terms/bt fee). Also if you DONT EVER charge anything to the account, you can call up and ask for it to be turned into something else. (ie bluenile,gateway, maybe even a preferred mastercard)
I can't get the account number. I'm at the Credit protection page now and when I click no thank you, complete loan, I get an error message and it tells me to return to the apple store. I go through it again and there is another option at the bottom that says enroll me and you type your name or don't enroll me, when I click don't enroll me I get the error message AGAIN!! I got my credit limit and terms, but can't get the dang account number Can I call and get my account number or do I just have to wait until it comes in the mail?

The account says it's a gold option loan.
Call them up, tell them you decided for whatever reason not to buy an apple, and that you'd like to use your LOC or convert it to a MASTERCARD. See what they will do for you!!! The most they can say is NO.
Christi, They did it to mine too and it is not only for purchases. It means you can get cash from ATM like a credit card. If you want cash from LOC, either you have to write access checks or call them to transfer funds to your checking account. The Apple Instant Loan is type of Gold Option Account and it is LOC.
