    Hi Everyone,

Guess what HH bank canceled my whole families cards!!!

Apparently because I applied for a card for my GF and myself at the same time so they put out a fraud alert and killed ALL the cards. My mother lives in our house and has her own orchard account - she called me in histerics that her account was closed. When she called them up they told her too many apps were being opened from the same address and so they decided to close her orchard, my hh bank, my GM card, and my Girlfriends Best Buy card and her HH card all at the same time.

    Bigtime headache here!!!!!

If it's household I'd thank them for closing their cards, but I understand this is putting your family in a financial bind. I hope everything works out with these HH idiots.

FUSA has a "customer service" branch near Chicago and they were posting open positions for Fraud Anaylsts. Going rate - $10/hr. Anyone who lives near Chicago knows that $20k doesn't buy much. I think this sounds like more trouble than an actual fraud problem.

My previous bank once turned off my ATM card because I tried to take out different amounts of money in a couple minutes. Think they notified me? Same as HH for you - NO ! There's fraud prevention and there's plain lazy client service.

What are you planning to do about HH? I'd like to hear the grisly details as they unfold. Good luck !!

It was like 4 apps. The other accounts were about 5 months to a year old.

The problem occured when I applied for both my girlfriend and myself for a Bestbuy card - this has the option of also applying for the regular HH card as well (in short it sends out 4 apps for 2 people)

    STUPID EH???

Now after talking to they're SUPREME underwriter they said they took a second look at my CRs and decided I wasn't worthy of they're GM card so they closed it. The guy went on about how disgusting my report looked and what business did I have placing several items on dispute (WTF?). I told him I had another card with them (a lousy subprime card HHB MC) he said "oh well we havent decided whether we will close that one" I asked him, could it be because I've paid on it perfectly for the last 6 months and your making a bundle on me in the process?

This whole thing really made me feel worthless I have to be honest with you.

"Thank you for closing the accounts. I have told a few friends (4679 MEMBERS) on a credit card related bulletin board. Now they will tell a few of their friends what STUPID THING YOU DID TO MY FAMILY. Sorry my family is not good enough for your company, we will just have to look to a BETTER credit card company"

    George,

BTW Household Bank lost their reputation long time ago. I don't think anybody takes them seriously. And yes, you are right 4000+ people who visiting this board is a POWER.

    Down with Household Bank.

    Sal,

Sorry for your experience with HH. Personally, I think you should tell them especially that pompous underwritter what they can do with their precious credit cards.

However, I delt with this one lady before and she was pretty descent. Her info is:

    Ms. Donna Dion, Executive Liaison
    Office of the President
    PO Box 81622
    Salinas, CA 93912
    1.800.753.6529 ext. 6628
    1.847.205.7427 (fax)

You might want to give her a call in the morning and explain to her what happened. Also, tell her about the poor treatment that you received especially from that underwritter. What a jerk!

Sal - I can only imagine how you feel - but - DON'T let a sleazy, slimy, scummy outfit like HOUSEHOLD get you down.
    F**K them and their cards!
Ask around the board - check with others which cards they got at what scores - and apply for a different card from a more reputable cc issuer.

Don't let them get you down like that Sal - they're not worth it.

I would ask for WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION to prove that you were COMMITTING FRAUD!!!

Even if they re-open then accounts and give the other 4...I WOULD JUST CLOSE ALL OF THEM AGAIN...DO IT ALL ON THE SAME PHONE CALL!!!

    Hi Sal,

You don't need them. Once you're on your way to prime, like you are, you don't even want subprime garbage on your report.

I'd say make sure it show's closed by consumer and move on.

I'm with Geo. make them prove fraud or re-open, just barely long enough for you to call them and close them all, compliments of that underwriters lousy attitude.

    Make it expensive.

    :)

Honestly, with the cards you've got, why on earth are you worrying about HH?? And anyone who would talk to a consumer that way deserves to be tied down and have fire ants turned loose on him. What a jerk. They turned me down a few years ago - after everything I've heard about them, I am grateful for it.

They have a service center here - what's the dude's name, I'll go tell him off. :D

BTW - his credit is probably much worse than yours, hehe.
