    FYI

I just checked my PG report and my Home Depot card is listed as a Citibank card. A check of the HD site shows that the credit card account is now operated by Citibank.

My thinking exactly! Citi seems to like me, so maybe I'll try for the Home Depot card now.

Bummer...Got the old "further processing is required" line. Oh well - a wasted inquiry.

It asks for Gross Household Income.

Gross Household Income is always greater than or equal to Gross Individual Income.

If you put your Gross Individual Income in the Gross Household Income space, which is the only available space anyway, you are NOT lying.

WHY WOULD ANYBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND...WANT TO PUT TOTAL INDIVIDUAL GROSS INCOME "IF" THEY COULD PUT TOTAL HOUSEHOLD GROSS INCOME??? ASSUMING H/H INCOME IS SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER...

Even if it is only $20,000 higher...WHY NOT USE IT???

HOW COULD YOU EVER BENEFIT FROM THE LOWER AMOUNT???

    I DON'T GET IT...BUT THEN I'M JUST STUPID

I don't think anyone would want to do it.

You, GEORGE, told people not to do it because it was lying. Now that you've told them there's no benefit to doing so, they have additional reason not to do it.

Lying could become an issue in the converse case, where they specifically ask for individual income but you give them your household income. That's impossible on the Home Depot application, so lying in that way is not an issue in the Home Depot case.

There is NO benefit in putting the LOWER individual income on an application...that asks for TOTAL GROSS H/H INCOME!!! THAT IS MY POINT

It really is NOT lying per-say...BUT HOW CAN IT BE LOGICAL TO PUT THE LOWER AMOUNT??? GET IT, GOT IT, GOOD

Well, if it's illogical to do it, then wasn't your dire warning not to do it totally unnecessary?

It may be fun to condemn lying, or something you originally claimed was lying, but it wasn't necessary to do so.

I don't think you remember your original post.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE POINT WAS...DON'T USE TOTAL GROSS INDIVIDUAL INCOME...WHEN YOU CAN USE TOTAL GROSS HOUSEHOLD INCOME!!!

You must be reading something that is NOT there...(READING BETWEEN THE LINES)

    I GIVE UP...

    THE END...
