Has anyone had any success negotiating a reinstatement of your home equity line after the bank freezes it? Do you think I'll just have to wait until the housing market starts to improve in my area? I've tried talking with them several times, but things are just going nowhere.
LOL from the rumors in the street, they aren't going to budge. If anyone out there has LOC's that they want to keep, you need to get the money now, and put it in a bank account at a totally different bank.
I've heard stories of customers' money taken out of a savings acct. to pay down a LOC without their authorization. Scary stuff
