if my bank account is consistently emptied out after every pay period, will that pretty much screw me as far as getting a home loan?

my salary is decent, so is my credit..it's just my bank account looks like crap.

i guess my question would be is how can you buy a house with no savings? sure you can get in with no money down, but their are moving costs, etc. before you buy i would recommend having somewhat of an emergency fund set up.

Is it that you spend most of what you make and indeed have nothing left over? If not, then a lender doesn't have to see your bankstatements...just a verification of deposit if necessary.

What are you looking to do? Jenz has a point, if you are making decent money...what can you afford? Are you spending money that can be saved or is everything going to bills? Ya need to put together a budget and see what you can afford and stick to it. Although...that isn't the question you asked is it? Sorry...answer is NO.

    Good luck!

i have money, I just don't leave it in the bank :)

guess I should be more specific.

I only use my bank account for specific bills that I need to pay, such as..if my electric bill is $150.00, I put $150.00 in the bank and write a check to the electric co...know what I mean?

it keeps me honest..I got in the habit about 10 years ago of writing checks that I couldnt cash.

    thanks!
