Thanks to all the help from the board, my negs are down from 19 in 2003 to 3! These 3 that are left are very difficult. Any guidance, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated! Wells Fargo Student Loan - SOL 7/2008 Original note was with Norwest in 1998. Pmts are auto-deducted from my checking In 2001, Wells wrote me that the loan was in default I asked for proof they never replied, so I didn't follow-up... since I had no clue about credit reports, etc. In 2003, Wells assigned it to AMO recoveries, I DV'd they ignored me. I filed a complaint with the ACA. AMO replied that they asked Wells for the info and that Wells told them it doesn't exist. I disputed with all 4 CRAs and Wells verified. Wells sends form letters claiming I'm still in default and owe all the money. Meanwhile, payments are still coming out of checking and are being accepted. All CRAs report C/O balance $0. It's my account, I am responsible for it and will pay it off. I just can't get Wells to change the status. Heck, I can't get Wells to respond to me! Sears - SOL 6/2006 In my naive pre-creditnet days, I actually talked to CAs. Post-divorce Sears account. In 1999, I settled with Allied Interstate for 50% of the balance-- gave the morons my checking account info on the phone. Doh! They "promised" that Sears would close the account in good standing and that it wouldn't reflect badly on me. Discovered that on my journey to clean reports, they lied. Sears/Citi reports C/O legally settled for less than full amount. Any clues with how to get this mess cleaned up? PNC Car Lease - SOL 11/2005 Another present from my Ex. He volutarily agreed to a repo of the lease when he filed CH7. I discovered this when I started looking at my reports. I was co-maker on the lease. PNC never informed me of the repo. They never advised me of the sale. There's a $7,000 deficiency on the sold-off car that shows as a C/O on my reports. I am debating about letting this one slide until it falls off. If you've made it this far, bless you for reading all this! Your opinions are welcome!
