One is the $250 left owing to my BK attorney. (I know -- my bad. I've learned my lesson in spades). From day one CA refused anything less than payment in full, so my $$ went to others who would work within my budget. Now it's $550 with CAs attorney fees and interest. They've filed for a judgment in District Court (NOT SMALL CLAIMS). I'd settle today, but I'm desperately holding out for deletion... otherwise no house for me. Second is a medical bill. $160, received offer at $100, but heard that NCO is likely to resell the balance. Haven't started any negotiation with them yet. Hey, I'm just a single mom, civil worker, trying to do right for my family & self, getting on the right track finally financially. It takes time. this is once again going to vary lender to lender. However they are going to require that all collections be paid prior to close. Even if you cannot go FHA there is a lender out there with great rates. let me know if you need anymore assistance BB AHMCC

Thanks for asking Jenz. It makes me feel good just to know someone cares enough to ask (grin). Actually, I did have instant success with getting one unpaid off for Certegy, but I was holding off on verification of this CA, due to the lawsuit they've filed for judgment. The other one is a medical bill and I'm contemplating payment in full, with the HIPPA dispute letter asking them to pull it back from CA ('cept it's 6 months old, so I'm not sure if that's viable now). Hey good to know about the manual underwiriting option. Great info to have.
