Can anyone recommend some good companies? for homeowners insurance? Or do most companies offer the same thing just at different prices? Thanks.

They are all the SAME...they take your money for 25+ years when you have your first claim...THEY DUMP YOU!!!

Just look for 4 important things...

    PER YEAR COST
    DEDUCTABLE
    COVERAGE
    NO HARD INQUIRY

Hmeowner's Insurance is State regulated, so it depends on a lt of variables.

Your best bet,IMO, is to go to an Independent Agent, look up your State's Assoc. of Independent Agents website.

Some companies will not take homes over a certain age, some will not insure you if you have been cancelled or non renewed by another company.

It is nice to avoid "credit inquiries", but IMO, it is MUCH MORE important to obtain the level and quality of coverage you need, from a dependable company, even if a few inquiries are made.
