Oh,man I've got a baddie! Late pays on a mortgage. Ouch! September 2001 mortgage payment was mailed around Sept. 10th. Then, Sept.11th happened. That's where my problem started I guess. That payment disappeared it seems. Which started a process of me not being able to figure out where my payments stood. I was mailing payments but , it appears that 1 was missing. The end result is that my reports show 30 day late pays for 3 or 4 months. Finally at the end of Dec , beginning of Jan. I finally was able to get a good grip of exactly what HomeSide was showing I was behind. Jan 2002 , I got everything paid up to date. Has anyone had any luck dealing with Homeside Lending on getting late pays removed ? Especially since this is recent ? They were rather difficult to deal with when I was trying to get it all straightened out. Suggestions?
Suggestions? momma7 ======================= People need to start refusing to deal with creditors offering only inferior products and poor customer service.
Well, I didn't have much choice. My mortgage was w/ Banc One. Not long after we got the mortgage , they sold to Homeside Lending. With the lack of response, I'm guessing either folks have no experience with Homeside or my situation is hopeless ?
Wait a little bit, Washington Mutual just bought them. You might have better luck with them once your loan is transferred to them.

I had multiple lates showing from homeside. When wamu came in homeside started reporting the same tradeline twice. I disputed to all 3 bureaus as not accurate & referenced both account tradelines with the same balance, date opened etc.... It was removed from all 3. This was from 2000. I'm not sure if your files report multiple tradelines but you may want to try this if it does.
