Not bad, not good enough though.

14.5% APR up to 72 months on new car at maximum of $550/month

Going to go to credit union and ask them for 7% APR same terms. Daddy needs a new A4 :)

14.5% for a new car?!! Good heavens, how bad can your report be? I got 15% when TU was showing a unpaid judgment.

    Sam,

may I ask which report they pulled and how it looked as far as any derogs and score? I'm applying tomorrow with my CU, and may also apply with People first, Household, and Lending Tree, and do some rate shopping, so I'm VERY curious.:)

    Re: Sam

i have 650 score , they pulled equifax, one $0 charge off from 96 and one paid collection $0 from 96.

don't bother with those places, rates too high. Go to a credit union. Mine said 9.5% is the highest rate they will charge me with 100% blue book financing retail value (ie $0 down) up to 72 months. (same for used car).

9.5% for a new car? Gads, that's awful.

Car loan = secured debt. Shouldn't be any higher than prime (5.5% now). Most auto companies are offering subsidized rates (0-3.9) ... I'd go there first.
