Hi all, I was just about to cancel this card when I got a special offer in the mail: 0% interest on purchases from now till April 15, 2002 (sounds like one of those furniture commercials) and an automatic $1,000 credit line increase. I guess Household has learned a lot from the recent Providian situation.
That's a great offer Steve. Congrats!! You're right, they have learned to try and keep their creditworthy customers instead of letting them close their accounts in disgust like Providian has done.
Thanks miles, I'll probably put most of my holiday purchases on this card now and pay it off in full before the trial period ends. It's too bad I don't get any points or membership rewards for these purchases, but 0% is cool.
