Well, you know the rest. I just received my rejection letter from household for the Best Buy card that I applied for. The only reason listed for the rejection-Bankruptcy. So they take that four year old BK as a stronger indicator than my last three years of perfect payment on my CCs and my auto loan.... Wrote them a nice letter on PFB, not that I am expecting or want them to reconsider, just wanted to let them know how I felt....
Re: Hossehold can kiss my.... A poem: My car loan is through Household, And I have heard they suck. But so does my credit, And that is simply my luck.
Re: Hossehold can kiss my.... This card seems to be on par with the general (lack of) qualify offered by Household. Epinion reviewers give then 72% of dissatisfaction: http://www.epinions.com/finc-Credit...uy_Credit_Card/display_~reviews/listype_~opnr Saar
When I used to sell motorcycles we had a financing program through Household. One of their reps told me that they do not accept applicants with a BK, period. For anyone who has a BK still listed, save yourself a score-lowering inquiry and avoid Household. Be sure to always inquire before you apply for anything (or read the fine print), because Household runs a large number of manufacturer branded and market segment cards where their name is not mentioned (such as the Yamaha Credit Card and Rev Charger).
Thanks for the info, if I had known this about Household before, I would have saved the inquiry...but it appears that they only used EQ, so at least it wasnt a slap on all three...
Yes, that is correct. If you apply for a Household cc with a bk on file you will be rejected. Household instead will point you towards Orchard Bank. If you have a home mortgage with Household, Household will send you a pre-approval application for a cc, even if you have a bk on file. Not sure if bk on file policy is still in effect. Best regards, Mirage
