Recently I applied for a Bestbuy card that I received a $2000.00 credit limit. Then today in the mail I received a Household credit card, $1000.00 credit limit, no annual fee, and a 17.99% APR.

I have an older Household card, that has a $600.00 credit limit, $79.99 annual fee, and a 18.99% APR. (Open in 8/2002).

    (I know they both suck!)

My question is combining the two... first of all does Household even do it? Second should I combine new to old, or old to new... I don't have much history!

My oldest open account are 5/2000 - 2/2002.

DUMP THE FEE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...

    If they will let you...

Keep oldest make it a NO FEE account at 17.99% $1,600.00

If they won't do it that way...KEEP THE NEW ONE and hopefully increase it by $600.00 and CLOSE the OLD ACCOUNT...

That's what I was thinking... $80.00 a year on a card that I don't really use, is crazy! Does Household work like CapitalOne, as far as combining accounts?

Can I ask what your scores are? They pulled EQ right?

I really want a new Washer and Dryer from Santa...before mine die.

    Thanks!

I can't find the "R" numbers posted by Marci - anyone have Household retention number?
