Hi all. I don't normally start a thread, but figured what the heck... Have been trying to help my mother dig out of her CC debt. Fortunately she always made her minimum payments so only had one rate jacked and still decent credit. After applying for three pre-approved offers (and qualifying) I wasn't sure where to go next. I wanted a sure Experian pull, as that is her best score, but couldn't seem to find any that were sure AND had good BT deals. I finally decided to try the household 'trio', but we didn't want to claim to be union. Had her apply for the Corvette card, GM card and Extended Family, in that order. Got $2,500, $1,000 and "we'll mail you". Has anyone tried the Extended Family card instead of the Union Plus and gotten the approval? Have people who applied for all three been approved for all three? Have people that were approved been given equal limits on all three? Just curious what others have experienced. I'll post tomorrow what report they pulled, and the PG score.
Hmmm, I almost did what so many others have, say I am posing followup and then not doing so. Turns out that they did the Extended Family card manually. They approved her for $3k, the highest of the three. I'm going to have her call and try to get the other two raised. They pulled Equifax, only once for the three cards, as rumored. The Privacy Guard score was 677.
