Thanks to bumpage I've gotten rid of all my inquiries on Equifax and I'm hoping the ones on TransUnion start to disappear soon too. Unfortunatly, my experian report has the most inquiries and from what I understand bumpage doesn't work with them. What I'm wondering is how much is this affecting my score? I have a total of 10 hards from the past two years. Only one was from the past 6 months, and 4 are due to fall off by november of this year. All the rest are from between May and September of 2002. Are the ones older than 6 months really affecting my score or my ability to get a mortgage much or should I just not worry about them? Thanks, Brett
How can I pull my credit report everyday on TU? which option allows me to do that? appreciate your help.
I'm doing it with privacy guard. Right now I'm just doing a trial. Oddly enough, I can't actually view my report on privacy guard. Every time I try to pull it it comes back and says that they got no data from experian and can't display my report. Despite this problem I still get soft inquiries on all three CRA's. Recently I saw some posts that suggest privacy guard will only let you pull a report once every 30 days, so I don't know if it's the fact that I never get a report that lets me pull daily or if you are supposed to be able to pull daily. But hey... it works for me Brett
You really should find out what the problem is with Experian. Why it is that they are not getting your experian data.
Re: Re: How bad are old inquiries? I would *love* to find out why I can't get my report online from Experian. I've spoken with Privacy Guard several times and they tell me that Experian is returning my report to them in a format that their computer can't handle. They tell me that they have this problem with a very small number of Privacy Guard members and that they've been working on it for several months now. They said they have no idea how long it will take to fix. The only reason I haven't canceled Privacy Guard is that I'm still in the trial period and I'm still getting inquiries on my reports when I attempt to pull them, so bumpage is working. For what it's worth, I can't pull my Experian report online at all... even right from Experian's site. I've spoken with the Credit Expert people (Who were even less helpful than Privacy Guard) as well as the CSR's at Experian. No one has any idea why it's not working. I've gotten my Experian report in the mail several times recently, including last Friday, so I know their file on me exists and the contact information contained is accurate. I just can't get it online for the life of me. Brett
Re: Re: How bad are old inquiries? I wish I had some ideas for you, but unfortunately I don't. Good Luck!
Re: Re: How bad are old inquiries? Privacy guard does something similar for me. It doesn't like to process my report on the first try. Instead of the big read "get my report" button, I get a blue "try again" button. Every time I smack the "try again," I get another soft. Sometimes I get three or four whacks at it before I get to view my report. :-D
Re: Re: How bad are old inquiries? This happened to me for about two month with experian. What actually happend was I disputed some old addresses and "poof" up went a fraud alert - as long as this is on the report you can not pull your reports online. By the way, the CSR's are extremely stupid, they will not even see the alert on your file. I had to contact a supervisor who finally saw what was actually going on and corrected it for me. -Sal
Re: Re: Re: How bad are old inquiries? I get the "try again" button quite often too. It started after I had problems getting my experian report. Nobody could tell me what was wrong, and then one day like magic it worked again.
