    I just upgraded my aa to a platinum select.

    no apr, 14.something purchase apr.

    I want to know how to approach citibank about the bt fees? Or should I just bt to my checking and take a maximum of $50 charge?

    Never. That's what the "R" agents are paid to do.

    Sorry for being ignorant, but was is a "R" agent?

    I tried talking to a regular CSR, but all they could do is put a request for balance transfer in for me. And I won't know if I get approved for a transfer until 7 to 14 days according to them.

    R = "retention" agents.
