How can I get OFF that list? Brenda, consider yourself blessed for not receiving those offers. 95% of them you wouldn't want to touch with a ten foot pole. Credit card companies sometimes get lists of people that meet their criteria from a CRA (hence pre-approved) . but more often, they just get a random list from various sources and send them pre-approved offers , whether or not they can actually be approved. People with no SSN get offers, as well as kids, and in some cases pets. Figure out which cards you want and can realistically get, and apply yourself. -Roman
