One of my positive tradeline is not showing on my credit file from all 3 CRA. Original creditor is confirming to me that they are sending report every month. What can I do in this situation? Is there any solution to this matter? How can I pursue CRA to add this tradeline on my credit file? Is it possible or not? Thanks, Denny
I had the same thing happen. I'm not sure if you can do this, but I went to the OC's office in person and told them what was going on, and asked if they could give me some kind of paperwork proving that they were sending the info every month. the lady gave me a copy of the friggin UDF! I sent a copy of it to the CRAs and waited. It took about 30 days. How long have you waited since you first started working on this? it may just be that you have to be more patient.
Re: Re: How can I pursue CRA to add TL? "Universal Data Form" ... through which the data furnishers communicate with the credit bureaus
I'm sorry I didn't get you. Did they add your TL on credit file after you provide them with UDF ? Maybe I should ask my original creditor for this Universal Data Form also? Is it hard to get this form or its usual procedure?
sorry i wasnt clear. do a search on UDF or universal data form. Some people have a heck of a time getting from creditors, but some people get them rather easily. I didn't expect to get one, so i didnt even ask for it. i just wanted a letter stating that they HAD reported it to the CRAs. I was surprised when they handed over the UDF. and oh yes, if you send a copy of the UDF to the CRAs, it will get them to report it. how long since you started trying to get it reported? if its not more than a month, just wait a little longer. it may pop on there without you having to go to any more trouble. (I know its hard to be patient!)
Re: Re: How can I pursue CRA to add TL? It has been 5 months so far and still nothing on credit file. Funny thing is that in conversation with their credit reporting department I was assured many times that they are sending report every month, and I even got e-mail confirmation from them, but when I asked them to mail me some letter stating that they sending report under my name â?? their reply was - there is no such letter, and they canâ??t send anything.. They put blame on CRA. CRA is saying opposite. And since I donâ??t have letter from OC confirming that they sending reports I canâ??t do anything.. And so far no one on the board didn't say anything optimistic regarding this matter - so I have lost my energy for fighting.. Also I see replyâ??s from cnet members that I canâ??t do anything about this .. And what can I do?
Re: Re: How can I pursue CRA to add TL? exactly what sort of email confirmation did you get? what did it say? and have you tried sending a copy of this email to the CRAs? hmm. 5 months. thats a long time. There's nothing in the FCRA that says a tradeline (whether positive or negative) MUST be reported. Only that what IS reported is accurate. have you tried calling the CRAs? i'd try that at this point. be nice and ask for a supervisor if the first CSR you get sounds clueless. I would also try sending a monthly letter to the CRAs (along with a copy of the email you mentioned) stating that your credit report is not an accurate profile of you due to the fact that it is missing this particular account. Other than pestering them every 30 days, I'm not sure you can do much else as far as the CRA is concerned. As for the creditor... this sentence of yours: "but when I asked them to mail me some letter stating that they sending report under my name â?? their reply was - there is no such letter, and they canâ??t send anything.." makes it sound like you never got past the first CSR you spoke with. The reason they say 'there's no such letter' is because they only have a few form letters they can send, and other than that, they arent allowed to personally write up anything for you. (they're not trusted with something like that because they arent very bright, lol). The low-level CSRs are trained to tell you that. If you still do business with them and have been a good customer, try a goodwill approach ("i love your company, i've been a good customer, i'll continue to be a customer and i've recommended you to my friends, please help me with this...bla, bla, bla...") and address it to someone high up in the company. (Possibly the compliance manager?) Or use RBlues's idea and call the creditor and pretend you have already spoken with a manager but you forgot her name... "was it kerri? or sherri? or tammy?" (or something like that, lol) and you want to send a letter to her attention. "What was her title again?" 'Attention' it to ms. kerri, customer care manager (or whatever) and then see if you get a response. thats all i can think of right now. good luck! (oh, and don't give up! keep pestering them until someone reports it. it'll happen eventually.)

Re: Re: Re: How can I pursue CRA to add TL? Crowmom, thank you so much on your support!!! I wanted to send copy of this e-mail to all 3 CRAâ??s, along with the copy of my credit card in order to get them investigate this issue. But as I said reading posts here I got impression that nothing canâ??t be done to pursue CRA to add TL. As I understood it has to be done with OC, and so far as you can see by e-mail â?? there is nothing wrong there?! And I spoke not just with ordinary CSR â?? also with supervisor, and finally with their credit department. But youâ??re right, I donâ??t have to lose anything if I send CRA request for investigation. Hopefully they would get in touch with Diners credit reporting department and resolve this issue. Denny
Re: Re: Re: Re: How can I pursue CRA to add TL? yea, go ahead and send the email & copy of CC statement (i'd black out most of the account #s if it was me) and hope for the best. You're right tho. they dont have to do squat. How long have you had the diners club account? have the payments always been on time? Like i said, if youre a valuable customer, and you get ahold of the right person, they'll want to make you happy. I think that's really what this comes down to. You might have to be willing to investigate and find out who that person is. keep us posted on what you do and if you're successful. this thread may end up being very helpful for the next person in your situation!
