I'm 18 and have no credit, I do not have a bank account or savings account, is there a credit card that helps people get credit? I am asking this because I have no co-signer and no one will help me build my credit. Can you?
Go to your local bank and open a saving account. Do you have a job and/or are attending school? You should be able to get a student credit card. Perhaphs Citibank. I know Citibank was popular on my campus. After you have the savings account for a while open a checking account. Other might have better suggestions.
Are you a Student? If so contact Citibank, Amex, or Discover regarding student applications. If not you will need to tye up some $$ in a secured Card. I strongly recomend the following banks. 1. First Consumers Nat. Bank in Oregon 2. American Pacific Bank Oregon 3. United National Bank TEL:732-448-4075 Once you have 1 of these accounts opened for 3 months and reporting then apply for a Mobil, and Dept. Store card use them for 7-8 months pay them on time and your set for other credit.
