How Can this be NEGATIVE?!?!?!?

I recently went to Home Depot to buy something and my charge card was not in my wallet. After searching everywhere for about 2 days, I called Home Depot and reported it los. The CSR checked and discovered that there had been no activity on it since the last time I legitimately used it about 2 months ago. She said that she would cancel the card and re-issue a new one which I did receive a few days later.

I got an Equifax alert that there was a change to my credit file the other day and saw that the old account had been closed at my request and a new one opened with the original issue date.

Today, I got an alert from Experian Credit Expert that NEGATIVE information had been added to my credit report! I looked and saw that the NEGATIVE information was that my Home Depot card now had a payment status of Lost/Stolen and no notation that the card had been replaced.

Is this counting against me with Experian, or even Equifax? Is there something I should do about it? If so, what???

Thanks in advance for the help!
    Jim
