I've got their 30-day trial subscription and am not impressed. I just signed on for Credit Watch's 30-day trial and I think I might keep this one. Who do I contact at Privista so that they won't charge my card. I can't find a site or a link on Privista to cancel. Thanks for your time. Dancer
send an email to cancel@privista.com and then follow the link to the website, answer a few questions as to why and your done. leencaci
Dancer, be forewarned. I think Privista got hit hard today with cancellations due to the rollout of Credit Watch's new lemon scented version. I had had Privista back in August of 2001. I cancelled before the 30 day trial was up. When I learned that Privista was now offering an unlimited score with their reports, I signed up again fully intending to stay for the year. I, too, cancelled and went with Credit Watch (why wait for the weekly update and try to figure out the differences between Privista and FICO?). I got a nasty email back saying "you had one free trial period already in August 2001. We reserve the right to not refund anything associated with this membership." I only signed up 3 days ago with Privista! I have pulled ONE report! I didn't know when I cancelled that they had already billed by AMEX for the full amount. So......I may be stuck on this one unless I try to dispute it through AMEX. Be careful. Lisa
Thanks Lisa. This was my first go-around with Privista so I think I'm safe. I'll be very careful if I try them again. BTW, do they have a new contract with new terms? You may be able to dispute it with AMEX on the basis that this was an entirely seperate offer. Dancer
