I found a Cap 1 account on my report that has been charged-off. This account honestly and truly does not belong to me. It so happens someone got this card using my SS# and forging my signature but they obviously used their own home address. I have disputed this account with the cra's but guess what?? It has been verified because it is my name, ss#. How can I get this removed? I have asked requested Cap1 send me a copy of the agreement and such but they have not responded and I know they have no obligation to validate.
