How do I get TU to PROVE they are breaking the law. Called TU today about reporting my accounts as "diputed" and the rep said they arent responsible for that. The creditor was. These accoutns were disputed on 2/5. basically she said I would see NO change for the 30 days as allowed by law. I understand that they MUST report as disputed on subsequent reports until the issue is resolved.
    As per the FCRA:

    (c) Notification of consumer dispute in subsequent consumer reports. Whenever a statement of a dispute is filed, unless there is reasonable grounds to believe that it is frivolous or irrelevant, the consumer reporting agency shall, in any subsequent consumer report containing the information in question, clearly note that it is disputed by the consumer and provide either the consumer's statement or a clear and accurate codification or summary thereof.

That's funny....I am in a lawsuit right now where the OC swears that it was not their responsibility to mark the account as in dispute....they claim it was TU's responsibility!!!!

I posted this same question a while back. Someone suggested filing the lawsuit against the OC AND TU together. Let them point fingers at each other. The judge can decide who had the responsibility. It is one of them because it sure isn't me!
