How do i prove to CRA that a creditor didnt validate the debt. DO I just send them all the paperwork and demand they delete even if cra said they verified>? How does this work?

I don't know, but if you find out I will use it. I am waiting for the 2nd dispute on one duplicate account now and if it comes back verified I will have to do the same thing. The company no longers does credit cards anymore, but the CRA still verfies it. They don't even know me and habe no information on me whatsoever. Go figure.

    Help Lizardking

Lizard...do you have a sample letter you sent to a creditor..not a collection agency letter? Also how did you draft the letter afterwards to the CRA demanding deletion and threatening lawsuit. Do you have a copy of that as well to post?

Why did you wait 60 days, not 30? What made you pick 30 days?

    hey Lizard,

The first paragraph of this letter is a run-on sentence. Better fix it ;)

    Hello again :)

How about a template/letter to the cra after the creditor does not respond. Could you post an example of one so I can get a basis of how I want to draft mine to fit my situation?

So you send one letter and give them 30 or 60 days, then send them another letter giving 15 days? Why two? Trying to go above & beyond reasonable chances for them to prove that you gave them 2 shots at this and they did not respond. I guess this gives you some leverage with the cra?

Thanks for the letter Lizardking. I plan to re-write it a bit and use it against Allfirst if Experian comes back with another validation.

I don't want validation to that extent, because I know that I did have an account with them. It's just a duplication. What I really want is a letter stating that I do not have an account with them anymore. But I doubt I will ever get that since I already asked twice. So, if this comes back verified again, I will try your letter with the cc company and then threaten to sue Experian if they don't remove it.
