If a judgment only has your name and address, how does it get on your CR? I requested and received an official copy of the case against me, and the only info on it is my name and address and CC account number the case was filed about. My SS# is no where in any of the papers. So, how do they associate it me, and not the 5000 other Jon Smith's in my county? And, how does this affect my disputing it?
I have a new judgement on my report from June 2002. I am wondering the same thing. All they have is name and address so for you here is BUMP.
Apparently they can match people up by using only 2 of 3 identification markers:name, address and ss#. Example, I asked Farmers Ins. for an estimate of insurance.. No mention of pulling credit. 3 weeks later I see they pulled my credit without me ever giving them my ss#. All they had was my name, age and address.
