That's what I thought, too. (And I still do.)

I looked at the pumps at a nearby ARCO station recently, to see which cards they accepted. No gas card emblems were displayed.
(I don't remember if they accepted any bank cards or not.)

Arco doesn't have a credit card to my knowledge. I know they accept ATM but I'm not even sure about visa, mc, am/ex, etc.

The only good thing about Arco vs. Cheveron is that Arco's gas is WAY CHEAPER than CHeveron. Too bad they don't have a credit card.

When they stopped issuing cards that was the reason they gave to keep the price cheaper!

Arco does not have "Arco credit cards" nor do they accept major credit cards...they are strictly cash/atm.

Nope. Arco=Arco. Amoco is a different company. I believe Amoco is affiliated with Chevron???? Not quit sure. There are no Amoco station, that I'm aware of, in California.

Amoco is issued by Associates, who eventually sends everyone with a pulse (and some without one) a preaproved offer for Amoco, Texaco,BP, or Shell

I have 5 Arcos near me and all but 1 of them take Visa, MC, AmEx, and Discover (1 even takes Diner's!)...I only go to gas stations that accept CCs.

ARCO=ARCO
Amoco=BP=Amoco
Chevron=Chevron

I would guess that the one ARCO station that doesn't accept credit cards has lower gas prices than the four that do.
