how hard to close dmb secured card

    I will be closing my dmb secured card.It only has a 500 limit not yet a year old.Will they hassle me and try to get me to keep it?How long after its closed will i receive my 100 security deposit back?Thanks in advance!

    I have a DMB card, but it isn't secured.

    If you have been with them for more than 6 months and have made timely payments, the credit retention department will probably sweet talk you into staying.

    If so, negotiate to stay only if they unsecure the card, give you a CL and lower your APR. They will most likely prefer to give you a CL.

    As to your security deposit, check your cardmember agreement or call 1-800-379-7999.
