I have had the worst luck. Have 2001 Toyota Corolla sport. Had for 1 year. Interest rate 18%. Owe about 16k. Applied for Rategenius - denied Peoplefirst - denied Eloan - approved through household for 14% which I declined because I thought I could do better than that. Maybe I should just stop for now, I want to get rid of my nissan for a honda and I dont want anymore inquires. Can you tell me something I dont know, because I thought a re-fi, as long as reports were good, were easy. Anyway, need some help here!
First of all, what do you have on your reports? Any negs? How old is your oldest tradeline? Which reports did each company pull? Did they give you their reasons for denial?
Sign up with a credit union. Do you have any relatives or friends that belong to one? Most bigger CU's won't even check to see if you are related. Just use a friends name that is a member (my cousin-hehe) if you don't have a relative that belongs. Open an account and ask for an app for car loan. Probably will be 10-13% if they will do it (mine will do 8% on used for any credit (subject to approval). A lot of car dealerships have shills at CU's that they send credit challenged people to. Ask a local dealers finance mgr if he has a friend at local CU. We have one at my dealership, send folks to her and she doesn't even ask who your relative is. She picks up a dealership referral fee (usually $100 bucks) This is against all CU rules and regs so be careful. otto
