    My score is 572 on Eloan.com ???

How is that, I think that is a relection of one deletion. Where is that score pulled from?????
I really need a CC for basic purposes and rebuilding my credit. Any suggestions?

Eloan pulls a TU, you can order consumerinfo which pulls Equifax. I didn't go that far so I don't know how it works.

572 needs work, but it's not too far off. Regarding what to do, it depends on what you have on your report. On mine I went the route of attacking old derogs that were paid off for at least a year, those seem to be the easiest to get cleared/removed. Won't help the score too much, but it's a start (small victories- don't forget to celebrate them).

If you're fighting a CA, go with the validation letter - if it's a CRA - go with the dispute letter (Never late/not mine).

Or you can go on-line, www.creditexpert.com is a good one and they'll pull Experian (My weakest report).

    Hope this helps, good luck...

I have heard that eloan dosen't pull from TU. I started my repair journey in January. I managed to scrape together 3 reports. Actually, I never got TU, I disputed most of it over the phone and now they say they have sent me the report!!! My score on creditexpert was 542. Then for no reason it dropped to 536. No clue as to the score on the opther reports. I then sent letters to all the CRA to update my address so I could prove who I am to actaully get the reports. I then sent a dispute letter to ALL 3. I disputed as not mine. The funny thing is, one of the CC I disputed, the account was opened before I was 18 so I figured It was a shoe in to come off. Well, Experian dropped it. TU did not. I haven't heard back from Equisux on anything yet. I called TU and they told me out of my 5 disputes they dropped a $2400 collection account from an old cell phone. But nothing else. The rep. said and I quote "all of the other entries came back as verified" How did you verify it I ask......"they sent us something with your name and address and soc#" THATS IT???? Thats how you verified it???? YUP. What a load of KRAP. SO now I am going to call all 3 CRA 2ngiht and find out exactly where I stand with my disputes and getting the report sent to me so I can get organized and make the next step. I need some suggestions as where to go from here!!!!! I read this board every day and have a pretty good idea of what to do, I just want to hear what others think and what they did. Was it successful. Im NOT afraid to mail 1000 letters and fax 1000 things and make 1000 calls. It is my personal MISSION in life to clean up my report!!!!!! I know this post is kinda all over the place but I am sure most of you understand how frustrating this can get. So I call to ALL fo you!!!! Help me out, where should I go from here!!!! I am actaully excited to hear what you all have to say!!!!!!! wish me luck!

To the CRA I would send a procedure letter - that forces them to give you the number and person they spoke to, and they have 15 days to do it, send everything return receipt for your records. Keep a paper trail! This will come in handy if the bureaus don't do anything.

I just started in Jan, so like you I'm fairly new at this as well. I did learn that on-line is by far the easiest way to dispute.

For experian, I opened a creditexpert account (Make sure to cancel in 30 days or else you'll be charged). From there you can get your experian report and dispute on-line. So far I'm 3 for 3.

On TransUnion, I went to their website www.transunion.com - asked for a report (Claiming there was fradulent info on there), got blocked so they mailed me a report. Once I got it I was able to use a report number and last week I started disputing on-line. So far on paper I'm 0 for 1. I'll know the on-line results in about 3 weeks.

Equifax - you got me here. I disputed an account by paper, haven't heard anything yet. I'm assuming once it's over with I'll get a report and will try to dispute on-line as well. This one I'm not too familiar with though (Which is not good because in Texas, almost everyone pulls Equifax).

Just be prepared for setbacks. Patience is the key word here. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it was built...

BTW - I'm not a big fan of E-loan, they showed my score as 674. That same day I got my TU report and it showed 699.

See I am in Texas as well, and thats my fear with eqiufax (them being the hardest to deal with) and it blows knowing everyone pulls form them!!!!!! That was good info. It helps knowing someone else is one the same path as me and taking some of the same steps. I was unable to sign up with credit expert a second time?!?!?!?!?! Anyone else know ways to get to your reports for free????? Ill try creditexpert again and see what happens!!!! Ill keep everyone posted. Meanwhile, keep the info coming in!!! More stories, postive reinforcement HELPS!

I don't know what is up with eloan.com because last week, I pulled my husband's score and they said it came from TU. Then yesterday, I pulled I used it and it pulled from EQ. Maybe it depends on what day of the week it is or maybe they are changing their policies.

I got this from e-loan, from the 'get your free report' page:

Please note: Your credit score was based on a TransUnion credit report, whereas this free report is from Equifax. Although these reports are usually similar, there are often differences. Therefore, you may not see items described in your credit score analysis on this report. To order a TransUnion report for a fee, contact them directly.
