I got an offer today for 0% interest for one year from Chase Manhattan Bank USA. I notice they pretty much pull TU, with a few Exp... but no EQ. I've got some inquiries on TU... are they one to decline based on inquiries??

My wife just got a 15k chase continental card. They pulled TU and she has over 20 inquiries, mostly mortgage stuff.

They pulled Equifax on mine. Last week.

    I am in Texas

I'm in California, as usual it depends on your location.

I checked Millscbs and there wasn't one entry for Equifax and very few for Experian - the significant bulk was TU.

    Hmmmm......

Yes, they will decline for excessive inquiries.

Mortgage inquiries, BTW, made during any 14/30 days count as only one inquiry (if coded correctly).

Chase is one of my favorite lenders. They are great with BT offers and are ready to negotiate account terms.

I applied for this and got a "Classic with Alternate Pricing" card instead, with rates at 18+% and retracted the BT offer. My credit is not that bad.

I hope their merchant fees are enough for them, I never carry a balance

    Thanks for your input, everyone.

ingenue, can I be nosey and ask your score? I really only want this card for the BT and it says if you could qualify for the 18% and no BT offer, so I'm still leary.

    Ozzy.
