Very elementary question, but I'm due to have a baby any day now and can't think of a good way to search for the answer to this question... How long are accounts reported on Credit Reports? Open Accounts? Closed Accounts? Unpaid Charge Offs or Collections? Paid Charge Offs or Collections? Bankruptcies? Judgments? Thank you!
Paid Charge Offs or Collections? 7 YR From Date of Status (Some States Allow Less For PAID NEG'S eg: NY State = 5 YR) Just curious. hWhat if you lived in a state that allows 7 years, but move to a state that allows for less than 7 years?
Re: Re: How long are accounts on CR's? If you are a resident of a state which allows less than 7 yrs for negative items, the CRA's would have to abide by that law!
