How long before they respond??

I sent disputes online through TU's website on 11/26. These were my first ever disputes to a CRA so I'm new at this and have no clue what the waiting time is.

The only thing I have received in the mail is some junk letter from TU about BK being reported for 7 years and yada yada. (I did file bk but did not dispute this.) I keep thinking I should have heard from AT LEAST one creditor or from the CRA by now. I don't belong to privacyguard or any other paid program where I can look at my reports to see if anything has been done, but 3 weeks has gone by and no responses. Is this typical? Do I wait until day 30?

When disputing through the CRA, they have 30 days (plus mailing time; approx 5 days) to get the results from when they receive the dispute.

So, you should have an answer in less than or a little over a month (month and one week).

If you have a subscription to a credit monitoring service, you should see the changes as they happen, but I have noticed from TU that they wait until all the disputes are completed before they send out the results, and update. (In other words, if you disputed every negative, and even ONE waits out the 30 days without responding, all of the lines won't be updated until the end of the 30 day period.)
