Hi, I know I have been a pain in the a... with two to three questions a day for the last few days but I am thirsty for knowledge! From general observation it seems that most posters have cleaned up their CR in about eight months on average. I(and other newcomers I am sure) would be curious as to how the trip was. I myself could use the encouragement by knowing the answers to: How long did it take to get where you are? What was your score when you started? How many disputes at a time did you do? How many times did you have to ride the CRA's A...s to get them to delete something? If you had something validated did you try to get it deleted again? If so how long did you wait to redispute it? I know everyone has better things to do with their time than answer personal questions but any info would be great! Thanks!
What was your score when you started? 609-621 How many disputes at a time did you do? 2 on average per report How many times did you have to ride the CRA's A...s to get them to delete something? avg 1.5 If you had something validated did you try to get it deleted again? That is what I thought you meant on the last question If so how long did you wait to redispute it? 60 days
sorry, let me reword the last couple. When I asked how many times did you have to ride.... what I meant was. If you disputed something did you get ignored by the CRA's and have to follow up with a nastier letter. When I asked about validating what I meant was. Did a creditor validate the debt and if so did you redispute it again.
I never had one creditor that was able to validate a debt. I set a goal of 12 months for my clean up and did not touch anything coming off (7 years) by it's self. After 8 months, 14 items have been removed. I have 1 item left that the creditor updated in goodwill however we can't seem to get the CRA to report the updated info. My credit score is 774 today. I had to ride the CRA and some items took complaints to the BBB and AG to get off. Several creditors said they would not remove items but then they went off my credit reports. I played the bubba game with the CRA seeking their help and sending them update letters as things moved along. I had several items removed after the CRA told me to file complaints with the BBB and then forwarding the letter saying the BBB would not lot into this to the CRA.
