Does anyone know how long inquiries stay on a report? Is it the same 7 year span or shorter?
    thanks.

2 years for hard inquiries (when you apply for credit) and 12 months (I think) for soft inquiries (like when you get pre-approvals and requesting your own report).

    Hope this helps.

2 years for regular authorized inquiries, 1 year for AR's, etc.

Wow, I didn't know that it was one year for AR's etc. I have many listed on all my reports that are reaching two years, as well as hard inquiries so I assumed that it was two for them as well. Can I contact the CRA's and have them removed?

    Kat,

You probably could do a dispute as obsolete, but why? AR's are not hurting you. They are just account reviews, and only you see them. That is a soft inquiry.
