I sent in a dispute letter to Experian a month ago and haven't recieved anything back yet. I checked my credit report and they have a statement I added but there is no difference otherwise. Just wondering if they wern't going to change it or if that I just haven't given them enough time?
typically it takes 30 days for them to investigate, but with this new FACTA law if you are using the free report to dispute the CRA has 45 days. now, i disputed on my own purchased reports, and they are still using the FACTA excuse. well EQ is - EXP and TU pulled the "prev inv" excuse. edited to add: if disputing from a purchased report, fire off a "you had 30 days to dispute, now delete it" letter.
