Hello everyone, We've managed to get a 90-day late removed from our credit report (mortgage companies mistake) and several medical collections. How long after derogs are removed does it take for our credit score to go up. We're in the process of purchasing a new home and have been monitoring these changes and our scores have only gone up about 20 points. I've heard it can take 2-3 months after the removal of negative items for the score to go up. Is this true?
Research rapid rescoring. I can't tell you much about it except that your FICO can be calculated to go up/down faster for a fee. I hope this helps.
Your score changes as soon as something in the report changes - and sometimes without anything changing :-( Rapid rescoring won't help here if the report has already been updated. What may take time is for your report to actually get updated. If this is taking too long, sometimes it works to send proof of the change directly to the right person at the CRA - sort of free version of rapid rescoring. 0
