I searched and searched, but the answer to such a general question is hard to find. I got Citi's 0% until '04 and I maxed it all out, no big deal, that's how I am with 0% offers. Now I'm about to go buy a house (fingers crossed) but I can't let the bank pull my credit until this damned Citi card updates. It's really tanking my scores. I anticipated this and paid off all but $2k of it last month ($9k balance). Statement closed 27 Feb, CRs haven't updated yet. Since the card is so new to me, I'm not sure what Citi's normal schedule is for updating. Any way to expedite this? (besides a dispute...) I reeeeeeeeally need that score updated ASAP so I can go buy my house!
My statement closes on or about the 4'th every month and it appears on my credit reports on or about the 12'th.
I had this issue, and faxed a "dispute" to the CRA's that it was not reporting current accurate information. It worked for me. Of course, there is always that stupid risk of them not responding, and deleting the account, but one of the accts was a Citi account.
