    Hello all!

I've been away awhile, trying to get this BK straightened out. I finally got the chapter 7 filed on 4/4/03 (surrendering house); 341 scheduled for 5/6 and creditors have until 7/7 to object. Hopefully I'll be discharged by that time.

I was originally told that my 1998 car (Buick Century) could be refinanced via 722 redemption, but that is only 50/50 now since the car is 5 years old.

I may be facing repo of the car and wonder whether I'll be able to get another car after the BK is discharged?

Also, how long must a person in my position wait for the 0% interest rates?

    Thanks guys!

I'm in a C13 (and not for very long), so I can't speak from experience for most of this, but you will get car loan offers starting almost immediately after discharge. I started getting them within a week of filing.

Provided that you have a job, you should be able to get one of them. Your rates will stink. Expect to buy something cheap, pay a lot for it, and refi in a couple of years IF you build a successful payment history.

I doubt that you will qualify for a 0% loan on a CC until the BK drops from your CR altogether, and probably not on a car either. It certainly won't be any time soon.
