I have reports from all 3 dating back to 1996. I have a binder that is packed with them. I really don't see the necessity in keeping anything past a year. Any thoughts?

Well, if you look at various posts telling about the horror stories, I'd think about 10 years would be about right.

    Just my personal opinion

Thanks! Trying to do some cleaning for the New Year, but I guess the reports get to stay.

    For ever wouldn't hurt.

Actually, 10 years is probably about right. In Sept. Experian reinserted a Discover card account from my 1992 BK! Can you believe it? They must keep deleted accounts in a special area to pull out once you make progress in cleaning up your report!
