Can anyone share with me how long it took for their report to show that their late payments were removed after the CC company agreed to it? Penneys & Nordstrom removed them immediately (updated in less than a week). I got a letter from First USA a month ago that they would remove my late pays & that it would take about 30 days. They just reported this month (like yesterday) and the late pays are still on there. It's the same with my other visa company. They agreed 2 months ago to remove them, yet they're still there. Incidentally, my score has not budged with the removals. The lates were from around 6 years ago, but I thought I might see some increase.
Mine took 2 months to be rectified and cleared of lates. THen again it was due to an agent not posting my payment to the proper account. As to gaining score, it varies. I recently read on another board that most creditors seek your lastest <most previous> two years of payment history to determine your reliability. Dont know if that helps in your questions.
