    Hey, Peoples:

When you call and get something deleted at the CRA's by phone, does anybody know how long it takes to reflect online??

This is for CSC deleting and checking on Equifax credit watch?

    Any help much appreciated!

Well, the only thing I've ever gotten deleted by phone are addresses with Experian, and they showed up within the hour on CreditExpert.

If you're saying you contacted them by phone, and over the phone they agreed to delete an item, then it (the deletion) should show up by the next business day you pull your report.

rblues is correct. Experian/CE updates quicker than the EQ report. More intelligent (ha-ha) software I guess.

Oh and BTW, you're welcome NanaC. :)

I called EXP this morning and told them to delete the addresses. And I logged in right after 15 minutes and the addresses had "under investoigation" under them.

Since then I have tried several times, I keep getting this stupid message:

We're sorry. We experienced a system problem and we are unable to provide your personal credit report for online viewing at this time. You may want to try again later.

So I cannot really see if they got deleted.

Hmmm, I logged in a few hours ago with no problems. Are you going through CE's website or directly through EX? I'm going through EX.

    Nana,

I called in 8 disputes to Experian on May 31.

I started checking online at the 2 week point.

On June 28, 3 items shoed up as "Remains".

On June 29, 5 items showed up as "Deleted".

Hi, Smog...I think my situation is different...today hubby talk to rep who promised to delete 2 entries (of 3 "triplicated" entries)...since she was deleting them (not investigating), I wanted to know how soon that would show since it should be immediate but I assume there is lag time between her pushing the delete button at CSC at them updating at Equifax. I sure hope so anyway. But, I do appreciate your taking the time to answer me..

And congrats on the 5 deletes!

    All 8 were Collection Accounts.

Of the 3 remaining, 2 have failed to respond to my request for validation letter that they received on June 12 (I'm counting the days)!

The other 1 responded to my validation request by sending a demand for payment 2 days after they signed my green card. I sent a second letter, the green card is back and I have yet to hear from them.

Counting the days on this one too.

    Chargedoff,

I disputed my addresses by phone, they deleted and sent an updated report within a week.

SIDE NOTE: i called EQ today to get an update. Only got 1 delete, but when I asked how they "verifed" the others they tried to tell me it was a "state secret".

I did, however, find out that they used a previously deleted address for the verification process. When I asked how that could be since I deleted it, I was told they "put it back on" because it's tied to my credit history. BS! When I asked what history they said "some BofA joint mortgage/credit lines".

That is absolute BS because the loans were tied to the address before the one she quoted me!

LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE! I HATE THESE PEOPLE!

Call them up ask them why the report has not updated yet. Tell them they NEED to update it now.
