I sent out my validation letters cc rr on 5/2/03. How long should I wait to check to see if anything was done to my credit report?

They have 30 days from receipt of it to investigate it. Therefore since you sent it CCRR then when you get the receipt that they received it then they have 30 days from that date. I would wait 30 days at least.

Actually, you should check it at some point before the 30 days to ensure that the CU reported the account in dispute. If they don't, then I believe that is a violation independent of validation.

okay I'll give it two weeks. Knowing me I'd want to check it every day but you know, a watched pot never boils!

If you have a recent report number, you can always call the CB and ask if the item's been removed (beginning after two or three weeks). They've told me the status without my having to pull a report - unless you subscribe to a service that'll let you see your report daily.

I may be wrong, but I think PG info is delayed (not real-time). At least I think I read that somewhere (could be wrong)...

When disputing through the 3 CRA's, PG only showed my EQ accts. as in dispute...
