    I had three with Citibank at one time, I just combined 2 of them, so now I am down to 2 cards. I don't have any experience with Cap 1 though.

    IF YOU HAVE PERFECT CREDIT...but too much of it...the answer is ZERO.

    Have 3 Cap1s

    1 Mc, 2 Visas. You can combine any of their cards together after 6 months of activity. More cards... push the limits as much as possible... combine after 2-3 years = 5,000 or over and Platinum status. That's what I'm working on. They're so slow to increase lines it may take longer.

    Combining Visas first, then roll MC into Gold visa. Worst case scenario Gold visa with normal limits and rates (I just got 13.9) on the Gold w/39 annual fee.
