I have eliminated some to reduce available credit as I had too much! Right now, the lowest credit line of my cards is $10,000 with one with no spending limit.

MBNA Platinum...my oldest card since 1988.
    Chase Platinum
GM Card (I have almost $3000 toward a car)
First USA/Bank One United Mileage Plus with no spending limit---I travel, travel so this card pays!!!
    BOA US Air Mileage Card
    Circuit City VISA
LeRoy's (I use it infrequently for jewelry at 0%)

I'm glad to see that in spite of everything - i have less cards than Willga - which just shows that i'm a much more moderate person, who doesn't apply for every low bt offer that crops up (cough)

i've got 1 amex charge, one store card, 9 revolving personal ccs, 7 revolving biz ccs, and one biz loc.

Length of credit history: 5 years, 11 months.

FAKE NUMBERS (one time use) FOR INTERNET USE...
PROVIDED BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES

    http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/tour/cb/shp_van.htm?ProspectID=EC179EC200C74B74AA6C4A518640DDB6

With this free service for Citi cardmembers, you never have to give out your real credit card number online. Every time you use Virtual Account Numbers to make a purchase, a substitute number is generated to take the place of your real number. And every purchase you make will appear on your credit card statement, just like any other transaction.

    It's safe. It's easy. It's FREE:

Shop online a whole new way without using your real Citi card number.
Make it virtually impossible for someone to steal your account number when you shop online.
Plus, you're protected by $0 Liability for unauthorized purchases.
Online shopping has never been better.

    • You gotta be kidding ... no, YOU ARE NOT!

It worked beautifully, I even managed to buy a book using my new card.

      Thanks, George!

P.S. Now if you can give me a clue how to get real CCs as easy as this one ... :)

I wasn't aware that Chase has one. Do you know the name of it? I've looked previously but I wasn't able to find one on their website. I currently use the MBNA Shopsafe and Discover Desktop.
