Okay...trying to figure out just how big of a part inquiries play in approving and denying applications...lol. I've paid off about half of my cc debt, so my credit utilization should be good as soon as it updates. Also...can you state if you have been declined due to too many inquiries? Thanks! L TransUnion - 6 (actually, I think now its up to 8) Equifax - 7 Experian - oh boy...11
Last two years...although the majority of mine are in the last six months...lol. You know something I noticed though...I think I did send a letter to EQ telling them the Cap One inquiries were mistakenly coded and should have been AR's. Apparently they changed them all to AR's which reduced my inquiries significantly (by about four or five!) L
How odd! I was comparing my online report with the last one I received in the mail dated May 1. I didn't realize the online report only shows inquiries for the past year. Also...apparently I didn't request EQ to change the Cap One...it was Experian or TU I wrote to about that. This is odd...lol. L
I actually have an inquiry-related story to share. Last Friday before I gave me info to the dealership to get a loan, I had 8 hard inquiries (over the past 2 years) on my TU. The next day, when I logged on to check how badly my score was hit from all the inquiries, all of the inquiries from before Friday 5/3, with the exception of one Cap1 inquiry from 3/3 disappeared. So, after being hit with 5 inquiries from the dealership, I netted out with 6 inquiries and my score increased. Does this make any logical sense????
